Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
Came to Christ the spring semester of my Sophomore year ( 2 years ago). Was involved in Church as a wii lad but didn’t really have a firm grasp on the gospel what so ever. First two years of college I was intoxicated regularly. Joined a fraternity my freshmen year and jumped off the deep end. Was confronted about my faith my freshmen year by a friend involved with CO. Little did I know he planted a seed in my mind that kept growing. By my sophomore year i had a pretty good understanding that I was not truly a follower of Jesus Christ. This concerned me and I slowly tried to change. I couldn’t change my self. I tried and tried again that year and nothing was happening. Was drunk one night and ran into a old friend in CO and he explained to me that it was FREE. That the gospel was free and I did not have to try and change my self tofit the life style of a Christ bc he already accomplished it. I turned from my sin that night and believed in this free gift and was forever changed!

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
Grew up in church all of my life, Around the age of 9 I started having a lot of questions regarding God and my purpose. Gave my life to Christ at 9. I was very shy in highschool and didn’t really have acountability with anyone until I came to college, where I got plugged into campus outreach from the very beginning. I got put into a dgroup and there is where I first saw what true accountability and community were. Went to mountain project as a disciple and a room leader. Through that I really understood the importance of sharing my faith and how awesome it is to have biblical community.

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
I was raised in a nominally Christian household, and after my parents divorced and my father turned to alcohol during that process, I renounced all belief in a god, let alone a loving and caring one. I began to do drugs and party my last year in high school, but God is an expert in irony and used that to steer me towards a youth ministry called Young Life. I first heard the Gospel there, and reluctantly went to came with them because something along the line of “cute girls” was mentioned in a successful attempt to coerce a high school graduate. At that camp, I heard the Gospel again, and by God’s grace and mercy, He brought me to Himself that Thursday night. This was just before I began university at Tennessee Tech, where I would soon meet those people that have encouraged me so far in my faith.

I collect bumper stickers, and they all basically go on my water bottle. I actually can’t ride a bike very well, but I compensate in my ability to watch people ride bikes. I love to hike as well as play music. And sometimes – on a very rare occasion – I’ll dance.

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
In my second year at TTU, I was invited to a weekly bible study. A few weeks into the bible study, Chaz Allman, one of the leaders in the bible study, asked me what I thought a Christian life looked like. He told me biblically what a Christian life looks like. The two descriptions didn’t match up. Chaz asked what my life consisted of and asserted that even though I had been calling myself a Christian, I was not. I agreed with the statement and he asked if that concerned me and if so, what was holding me back from giving my life. I responded that there was nothing hindering me. That night, on November 14, 2012, I gave my life to Christ.
Interests:
I enjoy hiking, playing musical instruments of various kinds, reading comic books, and riding my longboard.

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
I had heard the Gospel and was raised with what people would say a “Christian lifestyle”, but I did not know why I was doing that other than to keep up that type of reputation. Because living that way was so tiring, I became very worn and somewhat depressed. When I got to college, I saw women that were living a Christian lifestyle for the Glory of God. They were not tired, but free. It was the first time that I had heard the Gospel and understood that I was free and no longer had to work for the Love of God. I gave my life to Jesus my freshman year. This resulted in me being freed from condemnation. Since then, I have committed my life to going anywhere, to do anything, at any time for Jesus.

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
I was raised in a Christian home from the time I was born. I lived morally to please my parents up until I got to high school. In high school, I went through a period in my life where I didn’t want to have anything to do with God because I was ashamed of somethings that had happened in my life, and I felt unworthy of his love. So, I found my worth in relationships with other people and my achievements. Then I came to college and I got involved with Campus Outreach. I went to Mountain project the summer after my freshman year and that’s where I really understood the Gospel for the first time. I learned about both the “loving” and “just” part of God and that is when I decided to give my life to Jesus.

Over Christmas break of my freshman year of college, God broke me over my selfish and sinful lifestyle and showed me that my purpose is to live for Him. He transformed my life and claimed my heart for Himself. Now, instead of living for partying, drinking, and relationships, I live to glorify Jesus Christ by knowing Him and making him known.

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
Well, I was raised in a christain home all my life. I was very blessed to have parents following the Lord that not only told me about having a relationship with Him but also lived it out in their everyday lives. I came to know Christ at a young age with child-like faith and from then on out, I have kept growing and had a desire to grow more like Christ. I don’t remember much of what my life was like before Christ but I know with Christ my life is totally different. I am so convinced of God and the power of His gospel!
Interests:
Photography, singing, enjoying God’s creation outdoors. I’m up to try just about anything

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
I came to Christ in November 2012 through my dorm neighbour Taylor Wilson. I came in thinking I was a Christian because of getting baptized but never had a relationship with God. Throughout my freshmen year I pursued things such as smoking, drinking, and girls. I realized none of this was truly satisfying and started to have questions about my life. Through Campus Outreach I heard the Gospel and God started to work in my heart. I saw the Joy and passion for God in others and I wanted that too. God eventually revealed that he fully knows me but still fully loves me because of Christ and I can now have a relationship with the one true living God. Although I’m not perfect I know my Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ is and can rest in that.

Grew up in a Christian home thinking I got saved at the age of six but never had any real change. After I came to college I joined a fraternity and through one of my pledge brothers started coming around to CO events. After going to NYC and some influences I decided to go to mountain project. While on mountain project God started to reveal to me that I was not a Christian. After a few weeks and talking to a few people I decided to give me life to Christ.

Briefly how and when you came to faith in Jesus Christ:
Grew up all my life in church. Was portrayed as the perfect kid and lived for peoples’ approval. Got “saved and baptized” at 6 but it wasn’t sincere. Rededicated my life at 13 and got baptized again. Life was still empty. Junior year of high school I went to a youth camp and found out my need for God. I became a Christian there and suddenly desired to read my Bible, and pray before school. Going to church was a privilege instead of an obligation. I wanted to invite people to church and tell them about Jesus. Now im at TTU and growing in my faith in Campus Outreach.
Interests:
I love sports and working out. I enjoy trying different foods.
